The Venitian Las Vegas!

I have Gold Gacie status at The Venitian. The comp rooms are not strip view there mountain view on the back side. if I upgrade to strip view it's always at a cost.

They only write of a percentage or portion of my room service. The Spa's are also discounted but not buy much.

The Venitian is tight on Comps and I find their slots tighter!

i stay there occasionally because I like the rooms (Strip View) atmosphere and the dinning. I generally will go elsewhere to gamble.

Back in 2010-2011 I only stayed at V/P. Offers and rooms were great. Then all of a sudden the owner, Sheldon Adelson, came out and said his properties would only comp the top 1% of gamblers. I never received another offer again. I have heard that now this has changed, but I tool that as an insult and have never stepped foot in either casino again. Moved all my play to total rewards and couldn't be happier!

Casino’s tighten the comps when the money gets tight for a casino.  Could be for many reasons, poor economy, poor management, or a change in ownership.  But it appears that most players never return back with the same loyalty.  While I’m sure the casino’s save a lot initially, In the long term the property losses are compounded by the reduction of play overtime.  Not worth the risk I’m my opinion.  It’s a hard cost, comps, just like paying the power bill or water bill.  Keep the players happy and they will reward you with their play because those same players are going to play somewhere.... if not at your property where you have chosen to reduce comps.... then to your competition across the street where they develop a new relationship and never return back.
