I work in a town with 2 casinos nearby. The influx of customers that use the free hotel room comps is great, but they can be A holes to wait on cuz they lost their money at local casinos. They want their clothes and stuff at my store to be free! One of the casinos is in a beautiful beach town, but none of the traffic has made the small shops any money, it depleats the local economy. my take is, give ppl the free play, gamers only want that, I believe in keeping your most frequent customers happy. There will be seasons of bad weather, and you can be sure your regulars show up, play, tip the workers, and eat the food. In 5 years, the quality of the food in our local buffet has gone down so bad, we do not suggest their venue to out of towners. We swear they recycle the food.

I like the camraderie and the frequency of the visits to the Lodge. Ameristar seems not such good payouts, however it is what it is. I feel each member of the "show" is coming into their own personality, yes the events that have occurred have evolved oddly into inside jokes that I find priceless, win OR lose.
